The first Bodenmaiser Countrymen’s autumn.
Taking place on Sunday the 17 October at the marketplace.
The Bodenmais Tourism is pushing for a commitment between tourism and agriculture with a new annual presentation. Produce, farms and the topic “Farmhouse Holidays” will be heading the day.
For the first time in Bodemais on 17 October, the Bodenmais Tourism and Marketing GmbH will be organizing a Countrymen’s autumn at the marketplace. Adults and children alike will thoroughly enjoy themselves. The “Farmhouse Holidays – Bavarian Forest” association, the Children’s Country office of the touristic service center, the Goldsteig dairy, the farmers’ association country women, the local farmers chairman Josef Strohmeier, the central Bavarian Forest machinery syndicate, the Bodenmaiser horticulture club and the department of agriculture in Regen, have really put a lot of thought and engagement into the whole thing.
Numerous direct marketers from the region are offering seasonal produce such as calabash, potatoes, honey and sheep wool products for sale, along with a petting zoo with piglets, lamas and sheep (depending on the weather) from the Scherm organic farm in Kirchberg and the Perl sheep farm in Rinchnach. A children’s program is offering lots of fun with straw dragon making, potatoe stamps, a fairytale marquee and much more. At the milk bar coffee and cake can be enjoyed, or sweet and hearty delicacies from the potato fire can be tasted. Sepp Reis is providing some artistic power saw carving, and there’ll even be a herb and spices expert waiting for you. Patron of the presentation that is being managed by the BTM will be the mayor Michael Adam who invites all visitors and locals to come and enjoy a very interesting day. Local retailers also invite all visitors to a Sunday shopping stroll through Bodenmais.
