Brass band festival – music like Bavaria

celebrates the 250 year jubilee of the
miners’ association band in Bodenmais

The celebrations take place in Bodenmais from 09.07. until 11.07. 2010.

Bodenmais can look back on a long established history of the miners’ band that exists since 1760. It was founded by the Knödl brothers who both immigrated as miners. In 2010 this anniversary now reoccurs for the 250 time. The Bodenmaiser miners‘ association will be proudly celebrating their long history together with brass bands from Upper and Lower Bavaria in the form of the music festival “Fascination brass“. From 09. until the 11. July, Bodenmais will be completely transformed into a musical village. Over a hundred wind and brass musicians are expected to come from all over Europe.
Whether it’s the concerts at the JOSKA Glassmakers Lodge, the “Weisenblasen“ on the Silberberg or the music along the sound mile, the Bodenmaiser restaurants will make sure that brass band fans will get their moneys worth.

20:00: Gala concert with the Wacker-Chemie plant band
