Bodenmais launches a joint airport festival in NRW:
The first Bodenmais-Weekend takes place on the 15 and 16 of May at the third largest airport in NRW: Bodenmais meets Düsseldorf/Weeze Airport - Mayor Adam, tourism manager Lambeck, Daniel Küblböck and a delegation of almost 50 Bodenmaiser as well as the East Bavarian Tourism Association (TVO), will all be advertising for Bodenmais.
Every year, many holidaymakers come from Nordrhein-Westfalen to take a holiday in Bodenmais – now Bodenmais goes to NRW to increase advertising. With the slogan “Bodenmais meets Weeze Airport”, Bodenmais opens an official “Beer garden embassy“ at the Düsseldorf/Weeze Airport on the 15 and 16 May. The airport-festival is expecting around 15.000 visitors. The motive behind the first Bodenmais-Weekend at Weeze airport is to do some advertising for the holiday resort, with a delegation from Bodenmais including the mayor Michael Adam and tourism manager Andreas Lambeck. A highlight will be Daniel Küblböck who will also be in Weeze (16 May) to provide a a small concert – naturally with the Bodenmais-song and news in and around Bodenmais. The East Bavarian Tourism Association will also be there.
The program offered by the Bodenmais Tourismus & Marketing GmbH (BTM) in Weeze will be hearty and original, and by all means authentic: with performances from Johannes Weinberger and the Bodenmaiser Tanzlmusi with Bavarian entertainment, the Schuhplattler group from Oberried (traditional Bavarian folks dance) and the Bodenmais Arberschützen silver salute. Furthermore, the Bodemais beer garden has a special offer for all visitors: the Bayern Olympics program with beer tankard (stein) lifting, tree trunk sawing and sniffing snuff. Daniel Küblböck will be making an appearance on Sunday at 14.30 and later at 16.30, doing his best for sure with his Bodenmais hit.
During the joint celebrations, Bodenmais also wants convince Dutch visitors to take a holiday in the virgin forest. “It’s a great chance to introduce ourselves to the Dutch visitors. There’ll be a lot going on there as Weeze is undergoing enormous economic growth” said Andreas Lambeck, BTM managing director.
The Bodenmais-Weekend begins at 12:00 on both the 15 and 16 of May, opened by Mayor Michael Adam with a silver salute from the Arberschützen that will be heard loud and clear. Bavarian music, Küblböck’s concert and shows begin on both days at 17:00.
