On Wednesday 16 December restricted ski-bus timetable

Numerous cross-country skiers are already using the freshly prepared ski track since Sunday at the Bodenmais Activity Center Bretterschachten, doing their first rounds this winter.
With a snow depth of between 30 to 40 cm and situated at a height of 1120 meters, the cross-country ski center now has an approx. 15 km classic and skating track drawn through the Bodenmais timber forest by the Market Bodenmais.
"There's more than enough snow on the forest roads in order get the track into good shape", according to Mayor Michael Adam who has already put on his skis to test the track. The track runs directly from the Activity Center car park. The access leads on the forest road up to the Auerhahnstraße. There is two-way traffic until the Arberstraße is reached. At present the Army is keeping the road clear leading to the Arber radar station, so that further track preparation is not possible. However, many skiers are already using the existing options offered.
On Wednesday 16.12.2009, the Market Bodenmais is operating a restricted ski-bus timetable up to the Activity Center Bretterschachten. Parking fees will be charged as of this date, and visitor and/or day visitor cards will also be checked. The Activity Center facility building will also be open as of this date.
The ski-bus is operating daily at 10:00 and 11:0, from the Bodenmais Guildhall to the Bodenmais Activity Center Bretterschachten. The return journey is at 13:00 and 14:00. Season tickets are not available for the restricted service; passengers must pay the RBO tariff when boarding the bus.
The official Bodenmais ski-bus winter timetable begins on Sunday the 20.12.2009. Until then, all in Bodenmais are hoping that further snow fall will enable the preparation of the over 100 km track network.
