Since the beginning of October all mobile home owners are very welcome in Bodenmais, then on the green outskirts of the public car park on the Kötztinger road an area has been allocated for mobile homes. The pitch charge of seven Euros per mobile home and night also includes the “WellSportAktiv” package for all occupants. That means free use of the new Silberberg indoor baths, the sauna facilities, the open-air baths and fitness studios. Furthermore the new site is equipped with top modern supply and disposal facilities. The new site carries the name Concorde Mobile Home Site. The firm Concorde is a large manufacturer of luxurious mobile homes, and will be developing and marketing the touring site together with the Bodenmais community in the coming years. “This is a very important step for us. Rolling mobile home holidays are becoming more and more popular and we have to meet the demand. This is a market with future“, said the 1st mayor Michael Adam and is very pleased with this improvement.

The twelve pitches are each equipped with their own power supply and a joint supply system. Refuse containers for virtually all waste are deployed and the local recycling yard is only about 500 meters away. The open area along the Kötztinger road is an excellent location for mobile homes as it is bordered by trees at the lower end, and is very local and well within reach of shopping facilities. Mobile home owners only need to take a short walk from the site to reach the center of Bodenmais. On the other hand, it’s located on a road leading out of Bodenmais, making arrival and departure very easy.

The idea to establish a mobile home touring site in Bodenmais is by no means new and was goes back a long time, but there was the uncertainty for many years as to where it should be placed. After weighing up the pros and contras, a decision was reached to use a part of the car park on the Kötztinger road for mobile homes, as the car park area was large enough and already tarmaced. Electricity supply charges run at a rate of 50 Cents/kWh, and correspondingly 50 Cents per 100 liters of drinking water. The disposal is free of charge.

A service terminal has already been installed at the car park on the Kötztinger road by the Bodenmais administration, offering general information and event details. Mobile home holidaymakers can gather all requested information directly at the car park. But its not just only a short walk to the center of Bodenmais from the mobile home site, the indoor and open air baths , the guildhall and tourist information are also just a few minutes walk away. Mobile home guests residing in the holiday resort Bodenmais can also participate on the active, wander and children’s program absolutely free of charge. The installation of a mobile home site in the largest holiday resort in the Bavarian Forest was a logical step to extend the range of offers. In addition to 7000 tourist accommodation beds, Bodenmais also offers 12 pitches for guests who own the roof over their heads.
