A top talent, a pop star, a superstar? No, the best amateur glassblower of the republic is being sought in the cradle of glass finishing in the Bavarian Forest. Seriously: The JOSKA Company in Bodenmais is one of the most renowned glass producers and glass refiners in the country and is celebrating its 50 year company anniversary in 2011. The occasion, together with Bodenmais the biggest holiday resort in the Bavarian Forest, is the kick-off for a unique holiday promotion: The best of 2000 male and female amateur glass ball blowers is sought – everyone can participate! At the end (November 2011) the best glass ball will be chosen by a jury and the first prize is a week’s holiday for the next five years in a holiday apartment in Bodenmais and a shopping spree at the JOSKA glass-world in Bodenmais.
The holiday resort and JOSKA have done a great package deal for the 2000 hobby glassblowers, that not only includes the competition participation, but also a six day holiday in Bodenmais. The package including accommodation and many extras is available from 129 Euros. Together with accommodation in a WellSportAktiv house, an original glass-maker's roast from the JOSKA Kristall restaurant is included. Furthermore, the hobby glass blowers can enjoy tales from the glassmaker's works and trade in their voucher for a sparkling wine anniversary glass while on a shopping tour through the enchanting JOSKA glass-world.
Six days (five nights) await the hobby glassblowers in a WellSportAktiv house with extended breakfast, or for a small surcharge in a WellSportAktiv hotel including a breakfast buffet (from 169 Euros). Half-board with a 3 course choice menu can be booked in advance at a bargain price from 50 € per person. All rooms are comfortable and include SAT-TV, bath or shower and WC. The guests await a comprehensive package including WellSportAktiv, an innovative and unique concept in Germany: guests with accommodation in WellSportAktiv houses have free admission to many wellness facilities in the resort (Silberberg indoor baths, the sauna facilities and the fitness center).
