At the delegation assembly of the Music Federation from Upper and Lower Bavaria (MON) in Munich, lots of advertising was done to drum up for the festival ”Fascination Brass & Wind – Music like Bavaria“ . Together with the president of the MON and the Passauer county mayor Franz Meyer, the members of the assembly were informed about the event by Veronika Saller from the Bodenmais Tourism and Johann Kuchl, conductor of the Miners Association Band that will be doing the arrangement. At the information booth, a great deal of interest regarding the event in Bodenmais from 09 -11.07.2010 was shown, particularly from district association heads of board and conductors.
”Fascination Brass & Wind – Music like Bavaria“, is a festival from the MON said President Meyer, with the goal of increasing the interest about the wide range that brass and wind music has to offer to the general public. The cornerstones of the program in July in Bodenmais have been set with music standards ranging from brass and wind competition categories to brass and wind academy “advanced”. These are the two Master categories that Professor Adi Rinner (Innsbruck Academy of music, trumpet) and Harald Harrer (University Augsburg, clarinet) will be introducing with the exercises at a public presentation this weekend. The program offers a wide range of topics, from a folk music evening at the Joska Glass Lodge, to a symphonic gala concert from the Wacker Works Band from Burghausen and on to a demonstration of excellent military march music presented by the Obernzell municipal market band.
