In future, Bodenmais intends to intensify the use of environmental friendly transportation means. With immediate effect, Bodenmais is offering E-Bike holidays: the electric bikes from Flyer (C9 model) are manufactured by Biketec and are available from two rental centers in town. Six days Bodenmais including overnight accommodation with breakfast and the use of an E-Bike for three days is offered at a price from 189 Euros. Furthermore, numerous other benefits such as child care or topical guided walks are included in the travel price. Those guests who haven’t booked the special E-Bike holiday can hire a “movelo” E-Bike at a charge of 18 Euros per day.

A Pedelec – the official name for E-Bikes – is an electrically driven bike that assists your own muscle power with an ingenious technology and enables you to cover a far greater distance along steep mountain roads at no effort at all. Pedelec stands for Pedal Electric Cycle. The electric motor supplies additional drive to assist pedaling. E-Bikes are simply bikes equipped with an additional drive that propels the bike without having to just use the pedals. Of course you’ll always be adequately mobile and travelling environment-friendly.

With an almost inexhaustible variety of tours with different levels of challenge and fantastic panorama views as reward for every leg of the tour reached, Bodenmais and the surrounding countryside really is the number one region for enthusiastic bikers. Biking can be so enjoyable: The E-Bike reaches a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour and the electric motor allows a distance of 40-60 kilometers (that’s equivalent to about 5-6 hours), until it has to be charged up again on the power socket.

Accommodation is alternatively available at the Gasthof Adam Bräu,the Hotel Adam Bräu or the Hotel zum Arber, with an extended breakfast or breakfast buffet. Half board can also be booked additionally.
