Bavarian music cabaret and folk music from the region.
Bodenmais. On the occasion to celebrate the presentation of the new Johannes Weinberger CD on 03/04 June in the marquee at the “Rosserer Wirt”, an interesting program is planned. At the opening on Friday the 3rd of June, the Couplet-AG is performing their new program “Ab morgen wieder Hirn”.
For more than eighteen years now, the Couplet-AG are an integral and distinctive part of the Bavarian music cabaret scene and range among the most successful music cabaret formations in Southern Germany.
They’ve won numerous prizes so far, such as the "Bavarian Kabarettpreis" and "Bavarian Poetentaler". Meanwhile, after ten programs and more than 2,500 appearances, they now present “Ab morgen wieder Hirn” under the reliable direction and cooperation of Eva Demmelhuber (Bavarian Broadcasting Network).
The new program, which also carries the subtitle "Willkommen im Amt für registrierte Blödheit", is concerned with the insanity of daily life and the almost indescribable acts of those governing.
By the way not only the program, but also the female support is new: the actress, singer and musician Bianca Bachmann. Better known as “Monika Hohlmeier” from the stout beer keg tapping at the Nockherberg, she is now a permanent ensemble member of the Couplet Species Conservation Society.
Admission begins at 18:30 on the 3rd of June; commencing at 20.00. Tickets are immediately available from the Bodenmais tourist information, at the Cultural Centre in the old Guildhall as well as from all eventim.de ticket agencies.
The official presentation of the new CD from Johannes Weinberger follows on Saturday the 4th of June at 18.00. “I bin nur a kloaner Bua aus dem Bayerischen Wald” is the title of the now second CD from the 14 year old from Bodenmais. The CD contains 13 tracks of folk music. In the meantime Johannes Weinberger has turned into being a professional musician. The newcomer has already made numerous appearances but by no means only in Bodenmais and the Bavarian Forest. His commitments even took him to the island of Sylt. With his cordial and natural manner he’s able to delight his audience. Even fan clubs have organized themselves to support him. In the meantime, the huge response has also been registered far beyond the regional boundaries. Johannes Weinberger is participating on the German preliminary heats of the Alpen Grand Prix this year.
However, most of all he enjoys to sing and play at his parents pub “Rosserer Wirt” with his Steyrian harmonica. Sometimes he’s accompanied by his dad Heinerl with his harmonica and mum Tanja, who plays the bells. The evening will be conducted Dieter Gerauer. Johannes will be musically supported by the music groups from “3 Samma”,“Do-schau her”, “Silberbergsängern” and the “Hochzell-Buam-Stammtisch”.
