Today on Wednesday the 11.01, “Mühlhiasl” is on his way again. As usual the meeting point is always in front of the new guildhall on a Wednesday at the Bahnhofstraße, ready to leave at 20.00. “Mühlhias´l” is definitely the most legendary figure of the Bavarian Forest. His very existence has always been very controversial, but generations of local Bavarians still tell many of his stories with the supplement “Da Mühlhiasl hod g´sogt......” (Mühlhiasl once said …). His visions have always fascinated people. There are many stories and mystical legends to tell about Bodenmais and the Bavarian Forest.

On Friday the 13th January, the “Pub tours” start again. Always starting on a Friday at the guildhall, two Bodenmaiser musicians will be taking you on a tour around the most original and traditional pubs, providing entertainment and good fun for the evening. You’ll be sure to gather one or more funny and interesting anecdotes concerning Bodenmais and the Bodenmaiser. This is a great opportunity for all of those who want to meet other sociable people and enjoy an unforgettable evening together. These special walks will be carried out until the middle of March. The events are free of charge to all locals and guests with a visitor card.
