With a torch-light march and a big New Year’s Eve party.

Once again, the Bodenmais Tourismus & Marketing GmbH is offering guests and local inhabitants another torch-light march converging to the town center, starting from various meeting points in the neighborhood and leading up to the Bodenmaiser marketplace. After the rally, all guests and local inhabitants can enjoy a great New Year’s Eve party.
At 21.30 the countdown party begins at the marketplace with the international DJ Ree Doo, the great vocalist Steffi Koller, the young folk music star Johannes Weinberger and fire-eater Sepp Fischer, to welcome in the New Year 2012. Late night catering with beverages and tasty snacks are available at the marketplace until the early hours. Admission to the New Year’s Eve party is free.
The meeting points for the start of the procession at 21:30 are signposted in the neighborhoods of Silberberg, Scherau, Klause, Unterlohwies, Unterdorf (Bacheihöh`) and Sonnenhang, and from Mais at 21:15, so that the groups will meet up at marketplace at about 22:00 on time to join in on the New Year celebrations. At 0:00 the bells of the Catholic parish church of “Mariä Himmelfahrt” will be ringing to welcome the turn of the year. There will be a great view of the firework celebrations from the marketplace which will definitely be a spectacular event, when both guests and locals celebrate New Year 2012 together.
Torch-lights for the rally are available at the Tourist-Information in the new guildhall on the Bahnhofstraße.
