Kathrin Wittenzellner – Country, Rock & Pop

Bodenmais (pon). After the successful start of the “Bodenmaiser Kleinkunst-Brettls” last year, the Bodenmais Tourismus & Marketing GmbH (BTM) presents regional artists during the winter half year 2010/2011 in Bodenmais again, in co-operation with Roland Pongratz the County Regen cultural delegate.

There are many hidden talents in the Bavarian Forest. Especially in the scope of arts and culture there are people with special talents, who are consistently just waiting to be discovered. Last year, the “Bodenmaiser Kleinkunst-Brett” launched a new forum for both regional and local artists alike, whether newcomer or mainstream. All ranges of artists, from country singer to jazz quartet, from cabaret ensemble to chamber music instrumentation, are appearing at the ”Brettl” during the winter half year (October to April). The “Brettl” arrangements always take place on the first Saturday of the month, at different pubs in Bodenmais.

On Saturday 6 November at 20:00 the newcomer from Regen, Kathrin Wittenzellner will be performing her groovy music with great songs (Pop/Rock) in the pleasant atmosphere and ambience of the Bodenmaiser café “Don Camillo”– providing entertainment second to none. Be sure not to miss it, it’s a must!

After acquiring her university entrance diploma in Zwiesel, Kathrin Wittenzellner is now studying to be a primary school teacher at the Regensburg University, taking English, German, sport and … music! Of course music has always played a very important role in her life, and she surely doesn’t what to miss it during her career!
Kathrin Wittenzellner first began to play music at the early age of seven, playing piano and classical music. For the last five years she’s been mainly concentrating on playing the guitar. Since then she’s been singing with her soulful smokey voice, accompanied by her own guitar.
On the one hand her musician ideals are rock bands like “Volbeat”, “Social Distortion” and “Ignite”, and on the other, the Country music legend Johnny Cash! It‘s just logical the she’ll be showing what she's capable of at the concert on Saturday 6 November at 20:00, with tender rock ballads, well known Country songs and current pop hits.
