On Wednesday 24th August at 21.00, another Bodenmaiser open air cinema is planned.
After a musical interlude beginning at 20.00, a newly adapted version of the Bavarian folk’s saga Brandner Kaspers from Joseph Vilsmeier will be shown. Featuring Bully Herbig and Franz Xaver Groetz in the leading roles, great entertainment is of course guaranteed.
Brandner Kaspar, a widowed gunsmith who lived in the middle of the 19th century, stocked up his mingy income as a poacher. Shortly before his seventieth birthday the “Boandlkramer” (the grim reaper) came to pick him up. But Kaspar was clever and got his unbidden guest drunk on schnapps, and after he’d cheated playing cards, he managed to “win” a further twenty-one years of age....
The last open air cinema this summer is planned to take place on Wednesday 31st August at 21.00, showing the Bavarian comedy “Grenzverkehr”. Admission is free. Rain will lead to cancellation.
