This time the company is playing “Wirbel am Draxlhof”.
The opening night of the Bodenmais Folk Theatre in the parish hall took place a little later than usual this time, with the debut of “Wirbel am Draxlhof” on Wednesday the 24th August at 20:00.
Due to the renovation of the nursery school, the theater season has only just started now, which of course prolonged the anticipation and curiosity of the guests and locals who just couldn’t wait to enjoy the new performance.
The director Karola Trum and her young team did the final rehearsal of the humorous play and completed the stage setting only days before the premiere was due to take place.
As the title suggests, the play takes place on a farm which means that all the actors taking part were duly dressed.
This time Veronika Leutner played the role of Sofie Brummer, the farmer from Draxlhof. André Soboczenski played her son Jakl who had a crush on Regerl the farmer’s daughter, played by Steffi Pokorny. Gerhard Wenzl played the role of Loisl the farm hand, Christian Artinger played Johann Bräuml the Postmaster General and his wife Rosalia was played by Manuela Stangl. New in the team this year is Florian Herzinger who played Simon Jöckl the Postmaster. Silke Treml played the role of his wife Linda.
Claudia Achatz and Marianne Ronsberger made sure that all the actors were wearing the right stage make-up on stage. Doris Vogl and Annemarie Wenzl are doing the prompting for the company on stage and Martin Wolf is responsible for the technical procedure as usual.
The opening night is well worth a visit on Wednesday at 20:00, tickets are available from Raffalt- leather goods and gifts, next to the parish hall on the Bahnhofstraße.
