Young vigorous dance music.

After the successful start of the “Bodenmaiser Kleinkunst-Brettls”(Bodenmaiser floor show) last year, the Bodenmais Tourismus & Marketing GmbH (BTM) presents regional artists 2011 in Bodenmais once again, in co-operation with Roland Pongratz the County Regen cultural delegate. On Saturday the 7th May at 20:00, the young folk musicians will be performing at the “Rosser Wirt” in the Silberbergstraße.
The “Rai-Blech” originated due to happy birthday greetings from altar servers (at that time), to celebrate the vicar’s 50th birthday. It was such good fun, that the in the meantime seven students officially formed a music formation together called “Rai-Blech”. “Rai” is the local Frauenauer name for the Rachel Mountain from which their name was deviated.
Consisting of flugelhorn/trumpet, tenor horn /bass trumpet, clarinet, trombone, tuba, accordion and guitar, the young musicians play folk music the way that its always been played for decades in the Bavarian Forest. Besides Landler, Waltz, Boarischen, Polka marches or Zwiefachen (difficult Bavarian folk dance rhythm), the repertoire also consists of humorous songs that they have composed themselves.
The fact that that you can hear that Bohemian touch in their music is due to the influence of the nearby Bohemian Forest. Occasionally the septet also performs songs with Czech lyrics. Simply folk music from the Bavarian Forest!
In the meantime, the formation is also well known to the Bavarian Broadcating Service and has frequently been booked for recordings.
