The Skadi Loppet will enjoy live coverage on TV to some extent for the first time this year. The TV channel Sonnenklar TV will be reporting live this coming Saturday from the Skadi Loppet for fifteen minutes respectively, at 10:30, 13:00 and 14:30 from the Activity Center. Even though the temperature at the moment indicate that the spring is on its way, the Skadi at the Activity Center is by no means endangered – snow conditions are still sufficient.

Apart from the Skadi live coverage, the Sonnenklar TV program will of course be reporting about what‘s going on in general and about holidays in Bodenmais. There’ll be three panel discussions taking place with various guests. Besides the head of the Skadi O.C Andreas Adam and Mayor Michael Adam, Sepp Gogeissl (Subaru Showrooms / main sponsor) will also be there, along with Alexander Anetsberger (head of Marketing Bavarian Forest TVO), Andreas Lambeck and Gerald Wenzl from the Bodenmais Tourismus as Interview partner to inform and answer all questions. Brief spots are already be shown on Sonnenklar TV daily about the Skadi Loppet and live coverage information. Altogether 23 information trailers will be running nationwide with 30 seconds per trailer until Saturday on Sonnenklar TV.

The Skadi Loppet takes place on the 19th and 20th of March this year. As usual in March, Bodenmais turns into a Mecca for all cross-country ski athletes in Europe. Both top and diverse European athletes come to the cross-country ski district at the foot of the Großen Arber to conclude the winter season. Even athletes from the USA and Chile are registered to start. The main race over a distance of 42 kms with the classic technique takes place on Sunday. The Intl Sparkassen Jet race over 30 kms with the skating technique takes place on Saturday. Youngster and children’s races are also part of the program. The Skadi Loppet in Bodenmais is always a great skiing festival every year with lots of fun, sport and action. On Saturday the whole place will be celebrating with a great ski-off party with sportsmen and spectators alike, with the award ceremony and a live concert in the center of Bodenmais.

The Bodenmais cross-country skiing center is snow reliable and guarantees good conditions to cross-country ski athletes from all over Europe. The scheduling is unique in Germany, and emphasizes just how snow reliable the Bodemaiser cross-country ski district is, at an altitude of between 1100 and 1400 meters.

The TV channel Sonnenklar TV enables live coverage of the event for the first time this year. The technical broadcasting range is capable of reaching a total of 27.24 million television viewers. The program can be received 24 hours daily per cable and satellite via the channel. Since January 2011 the news channel N24 and n-tv are offering broadcasting time for the Sonnenklar TV travel shopping production.

The panel discussions will of course be covering the Skadi, but also generally talking about active holidays in the Bavarian Forest and in particular the topic ”Primeval Forest”, family holidays in Bodenmais. The well-known channel moderator Goofy Förster will be live on location and will be conducting the panel discussions. The Sonnenklar TV coverage also shows the rising medial interest in the Skadi Loppet and Bodenmais in general. ”We are very pleased that Sonnenklar TV is reporting live on the Skadi Loppet and that the meeting is gaining an even greater importance” said Andreas Lambeck, managing director of the Bodenmais Tourism & Marketing GmbH.
