Making Blues – A musical journey through the Southern states.
Bodenmais. With two voices, an acoustic guitar and believe it or not 283 mouth organs, the duo Making Blues will be taking the audience on a musical journey through the Southern states of America. Netzer und Albert Koch combine 60 years of stage experience. The two old hands of the Blues truly express the emotions and stories about life on the road and romances in their songs, sung with that soulful sound of the Blues classics. A “Süddeutsch Zeitung” critic even characterized Albert Koch as being the “Paganini of the harmonica” and that’s probably one of the highest honors that a Blues band can get. Beside the Blues classics, the duo also has self-compositions in their repertoire, which should convey real messages. One song called “Brown Monkeys” clearly conveys a declaration against racism and Neonazis. The German Blues duo were even worthy of some media coverage on various American radio stations. On Thursday the 18th August at 20.00, Making Blues are appearing at the Bodenmaiser Marketplace beer garden. If the weather conditions are unsuitable, the concert will takes place at the Cultural Center in the old Guildhall. Admission is free.
