“Sitte-Zöllner Trio”: World Music at the “Bodenmaiser Kleinkunst-Brettl”

Bodenmais (pon). After the successful start of the “Bodenmaiser Kleinkunst-Brettls” last year, the Bodenmais Tourismus & Marketing GmbH (BTM) presents regional artists during the winter half year 2010/2011 in Bodenmais again, in co-operation with Roland Pongratz the County Regen cultural delegate.

There are very many hidden talents in the Bavarian Forest. Especially in the scope of arts and culture there are people with special talents, who are consistently just waiting to be discovered. Last year, the “Bodenmaiser Kleinkunst-Brett” launched a new forum for both regional and local artists alike, whether newcomer or mainstream. All ranges of artists, from country singer to jazz quartet, from cabaret ensemble to chamber music instrumentation, are appearing at the ”Brettl” during the winter half year (October to April). The “Brettl” arrangements always take place on the first Saturday of the month, at different pubs in Bodenmais.
On Saturday 2 October at 20:00 the “Sitte-Zöllner Trio” are appearing at the “Gasthof Alte Post" , opening the first of this year’s small stage concerts.

Those who have already experienced Konrad Sitte-Zöllner “live”, know him as an entertainer with a mixture of a rascal and crooner all in one. Then the leader singer and pianist "Konni“ knows what it‘s like to have a rave on stage and be able to follow up with a heartbreaking ballad just a few minutes later. It‘s his down to earth flair of a confident milksop, that makes him want to do more than a perfect job.

With his preference of rearranging current pop songs and classical pieces, combined with a mixture of his own musical imagination, he created a musical cocktail that inspires with Pop of today as well as swinging numbers from those “oldies but goldies”. He’s sure that he’s not being pigeonholed in doing so.
In 2009, Konrad established the “Sitte-Zöllner Trio“, along with his younger brother and sister. Sarah, who was already a member in various bands and involved in studio projects as bassist, finally found herself as such in the Trio again. Moritz completed the Trio as drummer and percussionist and at the age of 11 always causes a sensation during the performance.
The “Sitte-Zöllner Trio” from Kollnburg are appearing at the “Bodenmaiser Kleinkunstbrettl” with a global music program with a touch of Pop. They’ll be playing songs like “How come“, ”Free Fallin”, ”Rocket Man” or ”Love cats” at the “Brettl”. Further information at: www.sittezoellner.de
