The winners of HolidayCheck Award 2011 have been determined! For the sixth year running now, the top 99 favorite hotels worldwide have been determined from 420.000 ratings from the previous year. And it amounts to a minor sensation what the Villa Montara has accomplished this year: The stylish 26 bed house in Bodenmais is the only accommodation in Germany that has won the coveted public choice award for the third consecutive time. This is a great success that’s been underlined by the fact that new criterion have been introduced this year. For the first time ever, the award has been divided into ten categories. They now incorporate the large holiday groups on HolidayCheck.de, as well as the most popular types of holidays taken in the most frequently visited holiday countries. The Villa Montara won in the couples category! The boarding house Vierjahreszeiten and the Diana holiday flats were both distinguished as HolidayCheck TopHotel for the first time this year.

Der HolidayCheck Award 2011 is a prize from holidaymakers for holidaymakers. It provides information about the reputation of 99 international hotels. The HolidayCheck-Award is exclusively awarded on the basis of holidaymakers’ reviews. The cleanest room, observant and friendly service and the best location: the hotel review award is the first authentic public choice award in the branch. Over 103.000 hotels in 215 countries have been currently reviewed.

The HolidayCheck TopHotel commendation is an authentic public choice award that is solely based on Holidaymaker’s hotel reviews. With this award, hotels in various regions are distinguished that were exceptionally popular among their guests 2010. Per region only so many hotels were distinguished, until 10% of the hotel reviews cast for this region were compliant with these hotels. On the one hand, this meant that hotels in smaller regions could win this award, and on the other hand the HolidayCheck TopHotel 2011 was a very special award for hotels in much bigger regions. Worldwide there are only 332 hotels that have been distinguished with the HolidayCheck TopHotel award 2011.

Along with the award for the Villa Montara and the TopHotel distinction for both the Vierjahreszeiten and Diana, Bodenmais is once again strongly represented among the most popular accommodations in Germany. “We are very proud to have such an excellent and individual wide range of accommodation here in Bodenmais”, confirmed Mayor Michael Adam, also acknowledging the prestige of the public choice awards. There’s hardly any other holiday resort in Bavaria that has so many excellent first class accommodations to offer like Bodenmais.
