Opening night of the Bodenmaiser Folk Theatre was a great success.
The first performance of the Bodenmaiser Folk Theatre group attracted an audience of 300 locals and holiday guests, and confirmed the continuity of last year’s success.
Although the director Karola Trum isn’t actively on stage this season as she’s expecting a baby shortly, she once again managed to successfully assign every member of the group with a suiting character role. The audience not only applauded the successful performance at the end of each of the three acts but also during the acts, especially when humorous or original passages were played.
The performance never got boring, and the suspense was present from start to finish due to the fact that the play virtually offers nothing but leading roles rather than minor ones, which meant that all actors had to give their best and fully identify themselves with the character roles.
Joli Haller began the evening by welcoming the Reverend Josef Schmaderer and the Mayor Michael Adam with company as guests of honor in his typical friendly and easy going manner. He then welcomed the audience to the 35th Bodenmaiser Folk Theatre season and appealed for generous applause for the amateur actors, as all proceeds from the entry fees are contributed to a good cause as every year.
The next performances of the Bodenmaiser Folk Theatre group take place on the 7th and 19th of September, tickets are available from Raffalt-leather goods and gifts, next to the parish hall on the Bahnhofstraße.
