Worldwide concern merges company name with name of home town

A new name for JOSKA: JOSKA Bodenmais instead of Crystal.

The change of the company name should have a positive effect for both the major holiday resort in the Bavarian Forest and the concern/Bodenmais hopes for a big boost.

Nothing is so well known in Bodenmais as the renowned company JOSKA. Besides the World of Experience and other attractions, JOSKA is also world market leader in the manufacturing of glass trophies, cups and awards. The name JOSKA is inseparable with many sport and show events worldwide. The brand name JOSKA and Bodenmais now merge together as one. To ensure that both partners should profit from the cooperation, the corporate management, represented by Josef Kagerbauer jun. have decided to change the name with immediate effect: the company shall now be named JOSKA Bodenmais – the previous "Kristall" (known internationally: "Crystal") has been removed from the company logo.
Both sides are elated with a true spirit of optimism: With the glass manufacturer on the one hand and manager Andreas Lambeckon the other, both agree, “We’ve discussed the synergism on both sides for months now and Josef Kagerbauer jun. and the heads of the company have finally made the decision”, said Lambeck who is pleased about the change of name. "The main reason for this measure is the common, world-wide advertising effect“, according to the tourism expert. JOSKA is represented world-wide which means that our products will also be present, “Naturally it will of course give Bodenmais an immense boost”, said Lambeck. Josef Kagerbauer jun. the head of the company is also the same opinion: “We’ve considered everything very carefully for a long time now, because it’s a very crucial change for our appearance as a whole”. The entire public appearance of JOSKA is to be changed gradually now to the new name, “This will surely take until the end of the year, before the change has finally been completed”, according to Kagerbauer.
However the company also hopes that the name change will make a huge difference, ”We want to build a bridge between our products that are renowned worldwide and Bodenmais, the place where it all started” according to Kagerbauer. He‘s sure that a form of emotional relationship between the products the location will entice one or more vistors to visit Bodenmais. About a million visitors visit JOSKA every year, “which we of course want to maintain” then JOSKA is yielding its main turnover from the local factory site. “With such events as the recent Women’s World Award where our products are awarded as honors of distinction with massive media coverage, we naturally want to ensure that the name Bodenmais will be widely made public“, said Kagerbauer. The recent Women’s World Award was broadcasted on television in over 60 countries – and the company logo was always being displayed on the television screens. ”JOSKA Bodenmais is a clear commitment for the location Made in Germany”, said Josef Kagerbauer jun. further. Kagerbauer regards the change of name additionally as an obligation to strongly support and boost the holiday resort, with JOSKA on board. “The concept from Mayor Michael Adam and the Bodenmais Tourism and Marketing GmbH has convinced me”, said Kagerbauer. “On the one hand we want to support the courageous steps from Europe’s youngest mayor, on the other hand we want to profit from the fact that the commune has greatly improved its commercial presence and further developed in recent years” Kagerbauer sees the alliance of the two brands as a safeguard for the future: “JOSKA and Bodenmais can mutually profit from each other. “The commune will of course be profiting first of all: “Bodenmais would normally have had to invest a seven figure sum, in order to accomplish the current situation that we now have”, said Kagerbauer. That’s why the company has recently intensified its cooperation with the market town. “One thing is certain: Even if Crystal is no longer part of our logo: We will certainly not lose our brilliance with the new name”. Mayor Michael Adam is also the same opinion: “I believe that that we cannot yet comprehend as to what extent the change of name will bring. In any case it’s the right step towards a successful common future”.
