Free guided e-bike tours
Every Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m., our friendly mountain bike guides invite Bodenmais guests to join them on a free e-bike tour.
Healthy forest air, refreshing wind, lots of natural beauty, and a cozy stop at a hut or inn: all this is offered by the guided e-bike tours that Bodenmais Tourismus & Marketing GmbH is offering every Wednesday and Thursday from May 7 to October 2025. Our experienced and friendly guides Helmut, Siggi, and Franz are passionate mountain bikers. They know the routes and tours around Bodenmais like the back of their hand and are happy to show you the beauty of their homeland on two wheels.
The destination is usually a rustic stop where a nice lunch awaits the participants. With sweet Kaiserschmarrn, cheese spaetzle, Leberkäse with fried egg, or Kaspressknödl, you will have earned a cozy Bavarian break.
Wednesday-Tour
From May to October 2026, every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Sporty e-MTB tour suitable for experienced bikers (good physical fitness required / confident riding technique uphill/downhill)
- Exciting and varied route approx. 45 km/1000 m elevation gain)
- Helmet compulsory, off-road e-bike required (no normal MTBs or gravel bikes)
- No child bike trailers or seats!
- Leisurely stop for refreshments along the way (remember to bring cash!)
- Free with the Bodenmais guest card (€10 without guest card)
- Meeting point: New Town Hall, Bahnhofstraße 56 in Bodenmais
- Registration by 4 p.m. the day before at the Tourist Information Office 09924/31296-0 or online
Thursday-Tour
From May to October 2026, every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Easy to moderate e-MTB tour suitable for beginners.
- The tour takes place on easy forest trails, forest roads, and paved roads.
- Meeting point: New Town Hall, Bahnhofstraße 56 in Bodenmais.
- Helmets are mandatory, and off-road e-bikes are required (no normal MTBs, e-gravel bikes are possible!).
- No child bike trailers or seats!
- Leisurely stop for refreshments along the way (remember to bring cash!)
- Free with the Bodenmais guest card (€10 without guest card)
- Registration by 4 p.m. the day before at the Tourist Information Office 09924/31296-0 or online
