Active relaxation in the climatic health resort of Bodenmais

Climatic health resort

Bodenmais in the heart of the Bavarian Forest is a state-recognized climatic health resort. The healing climate of the low mountain range and the forest is beneficial to the health of body, mind and soul. This is confirmed by numerous doctors such as Dr. Judith Haus, lung specialist at the Bodenmais Silberberg Clinic: "The climate here is a mild, low-irritant climate and is suitable for general health care and rehabilitation after serious illnesses, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases and rheumatic diseases," she explains. The forest climate is characterized by cool and, in particular, pollutant-free air thanks to the filter function of the forest. "The essential oils released into the air by the conifers are beneficial for the respiratory tract," says the lung specialist.

Hiking makes you happier

Hiking in the Bavarian Forest also makes you happy, as the philosopher and author Dr. Albert Kitzler explains: "Hiking promotes our happiness and prepares the ground for us to come to terms with ourselves and enjoy life more. Many aspects of hiking contribute to this: The intense experience of nature with all our senses brings us back to our own natural origins. The vastness, freshness and seeming endlessness of the landscape opens up our mental and spiritual horizons. We come up with new thoughts. The silence, tranquillity and untouched nature lead us back to ourselves and to our center. We become inwardly calm and balanced."
