The longest toboggan run in the Bavarian Forest

The eight-kilometre-long toboggan run is an absolute treat. This starts on the roof of the Bavarian Forest, the Großer Arber, and leads past the Chamer Hütte below the Kleiner Arber to Bodenmais and the Silberbergbad.

WINTER TOBOGGAN RUN SILBERBERG

The winter toboggan run on the Silberberg is easily accessible with the Bodenmais winter bus. Toboggans can be hired directly on site at the Silberberg valley station and then you can take the cable car up to the start, the middle station, and then take the toboggans back down to the valley station.

WINTER TOBOGGAN RUN HOCHZELL / SCHERAU

The Hochzell forest toboggan run guarantees XXL tobogganing fun. It is about 400 meters from the Arberhochstraße bus stop to the start of the family run. It takes a little longer to get to the start of the steeper section, namely around 30 minutes. The blue-marked three-metre-wide family trail is around 3.1 kilometers long and has an average gradient of around 9%, making it ideal for the whole family. From the finish area in Scherau, a short walk takes you to the nearest ski bus stop (Rathaus or Arberseestraße). If necessary, the Bodenmais winter bus will take you back to the starting point on the Arberhochstraße.
