ski resort Silberberg Skiing enjoyment on Bodenmais' local mountain
With an altitude of 955 meters, family-friendly slopes, and a children's ski park, Silberberg is the ideal ski resort for families. Downhill skiers and snowboarders will also find plenty to enjoy on the slopes.
Arrival and parking
The ski bus will take you to the Silberberg valley station with ease, and it's even free for Bodenmais guests.
You can also travel by car. Parking is subject to a charge (€3).

ski resort Großer Arber The King of the Bavarian Forest
At 1,456 meters, the Großer Arber is the highest peak in the Bavarian Forest and offers extensive slopes for all levels of difficulty. Whether it's the family slope, the women's slope, the Bohemian Forest slope, the Bavarian Forest slope, or the World Cup slope—all slopes are groomed at night with state-of-the-art snowcats. Nothing stands in the way of pure skiing pleasure!
Arrival and parking
The ski bus takes you easily to the Arber valley station, and as a guest in Bodenmais, you can even ride for free.
It is also possible to travel by car. Parking is subject to a charge.
THE LONGEST DESCENT IN THE BAVARIAN FOREST
The downhill run is an absolute highlight. It covers around 8 kilometers from the summit of the Großer Arber down to Bodenmais. This is unique in the Bavarian Forest and probably beyond!

Floodlit skiing: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
